We usually just tend to stick to foods that we know everything about, and sometimes that’s smart. Comfort is important, especially when it comes to food because no one likes to be surprised with an unpleasant taste in their mouth. However, if you don;t explore other region’s food, you wont know what you are missing! Also, they might have a crazy amount of vitamins in them that you cannot get in “regular foods” because they cannot be derived from them. So, why not live a little and explore foods that you may not have ever thought about trying. Who knows? They may have a magical secret benefit that your body was just craving for! Acai berries, relatives of the blueberry, contain powerful antioxidants. These are essential for combating free radicals, which are known to increase the aging process as well as promote disease. Antioxidants can promote improved digestion, sleep and energy. Papaya is another great fruit to explore with. This fruit can protect against heart diseases, promote digestive health and provide support to the immune system. Papayas also contain folic acid and are a good source of dietary fiber. Habanero peppers help to fight heart disease, trigger endorphins, improve circulation and reduce high blood pressure. Habanero peppers also contain vitamins A, C, E and B complex. Get to tasting!
