The skinny on Oil

One thing you cannot overcome in your diet, or at least is very difficult to avoid, is oil. There are so many different types of oil: Olive, Sunflower, Avocado, Safflower, Canola, Sesame, grape seed. It can be difficult to decipher which ones are actually healthy for you. We all know the scent of the great American pastime. Nothing gets our saliva flowing like the smell of that wonderful smoky aroma in the air. However BBQ-ing doesn’t only have to equal greasy fatty burgers and a plethora of unwholesome calories. There are so many great healthy alternatives to use as an excuse to fire up your grill and not feel any guilt! Healthy Breakfast for Healthy Beginners

Lets face it- there’s a lot more to worry about than food when it comes to the mornings for most of us. We oversleep, scramble to get ourselves in the shower, throw something on, and then grab for a quick snack- often a donut or maybe some kind of high sugar cereal bar. STOP- put it down, and back away from the unhealthiness. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It’s the first thing that boosts your metabolism, and the first thing that gives you energy to get through the morning. So why start off on the wrong foot? Make it your ritual to start the day off with a clean, well thought-out, and beneficial meal that you will thank yourself for within hours.
